How We Use Your Information
Your information is used exclusively to provide, improve, and personalise our platform:
- To create and maintain your account and learning profile
- To process course enrollments and payments, and issue receipts
- To deliver live classes, class notes, syllabi, and course materials
- To track your learning progress and award points and certificates
- To send transactional emails — enrollment confirmations, password resets, support replies
- To send promotional updates (workshops, new courses, offers) — you can opt out at any time
- To respond to help desk queries and teacher messages
- To display your activity during live class sessions (chat, viewer count)
- To detect fraud, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use
- To improve the platform based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
We will never use your data for any purpose not described above without your explicit consent.
3
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data in limited, specific circumstances only:
- Teachers & Instructors: Instructors can see the names and progress of students enrolled in their courses, so they can provide personalised guidance.
- Payment Processors: To complete transactions, we share necessary order details with our payment gateway provider. They are bound by their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS standards.
- Legal Requirements: If required by Indian law, a court order, or government authority, we may disclose information as legally obligated.
- Safety: To prevent harm or fraud involving our platform, we may share data with appropriate authorities.
We never share your data with marketing companies, data brokers, or social media platforms for advertising purposes.
We take data security seriously and implement the following protections:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12 — they are never stored in plain text and cannot be reversed
- Session tokens use httpOnly, SameSite cookies to prevent cross-site scripting attacks
- All forms use server-side validation and prepared statements to prevent SQL injection
- Password reset tokens expire after 1 hour and are single-use
- File uploads are validated by type and stored with randomised filenames
- Admin access is completely separate from student access, requiring dedicated credentials
Despite these measures, no online system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly and take appropriate remediation steps.

Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and browser session storage to operate the platform. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
- Session Cookie: Keeps you logged in securely for up to 30 days
- Preference Storage: Remembers your UI preferences such as dark mode settings (stored locally in your browser)
- Analytics: We may use anonymised, aggregate analytics (page views, feature usage) to improve the platform — no identifiable user data is involved
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from staying logged in and may affect platform functionality.
When you join a live class session, the following information is recorded:
- Your name and user ID are logged as a live viewer, along with your join time, last-seen heartbeat, and leave time
- Your chat messages (including any questions marked as "Doubts") are stored against your user ID and displayed to all participants in the session
- Admins and instructors can view the full chat log, viewer list, and respond to or delete messages
Live session recordings, if any, will be governed by the instructor's course settings and disclosed in the course description.
Do not share sensitive personal details (phone numbers, addresses, financial info) in live class chats — they are visible to all participants.
